A useful storm plan starts with a walk through your property: which trees need attention now, which can wait, and which are fine where they are.
Start before the storm.
Get ahead of the rush
We start saying this every year around the same time: get your trees looked at before hurricane season starts. Storm season runs June 1 through November 30, and once a storm actually has a name, every tree service on this island is getting the same calls at once. Book in July and we can usually get out there within a few days. Call the week before landfall and you're waiting behind everybody else who put it off too.
A line of defense for waterside homes
If you're on the water and there's no dune in front of your place (soundside, sound front, most of that side of Hatteras), your trees are doing a lot more work than people give them credit for. We call it the line of defense, because for those properties, that's basically the job they're doing.
Know what needs handling
This is the same walkthrough we'd do standing in your yard: what needs handling now, what can wait, and what's fine where it is.
Get ahead of the next storm.
Tell us about your property and what you have noticed. We will help you find the right next step.
